UTHUKULI BUTTER AND GHEE

Uthukuli is a panchayat town in Tiruppur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.

It is one of the 15 panchayat towns in the district, and the administrative headquarters of Uthukuli taluk.

Spread across an area of 5.7 km², it had a population of 10,130 individuals as per the 2011 census.

What is Uthukuli famous for?
The region is known for its dairy and butter industry.
Located 15 Km Tirupur this temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan and is dated as old as 200 years old.
The temple is famous for the water spring famous with locals as Uthukuli which was created by Lord Murugan to quench the thirst of a  saint Agasthya.
Uthukuli butter is prepared by churning fresh or fermented milk cream.
It got its name Uthukuli from the town in Tamil Nadu where it is prepared from.
This butter is derived from the milk obtained from herbivorous cows fed on green pastures.
Cow's butter-fat is richer than the buffalo-butter-fat in the total assimilable and digestible part and is, therefore, comparatively more suitable for children and weaklings.
From an economic point of view, the buffalo is a better butter-producing machine than the cow.
